DSL Internet Access
DSL (Digital Subscriber Line) is the latest in high-speed Internet access. DSL allows you to connect to the Internet over a standard analog phone line and can be used any time, even when you are using the line for voice phone calls. DSL is an "instant on" connection, eliminating the dialing delay associated with modem access. While DSL is a great value, it should not be used for mission critical applications as it is not quite as reliable as a T1 connection. You should think of DSL (or any broadband service) as fast dialup, not cheap T1 replacement.
So why should you buy DSL Internet access from FBS.NET instead of the local phone company? In a word, SERVICE. The most common objection we hear is that our prices are a little higher than what the phone company charges. On the surface, this appears to be the case. Embarq and AT&T are constantly running specials, offering DSL for ridiculously low prices. Don't be taken in. There are a lot of strings attached to those "low" prices. That is because the local phone companies are all losing local telephone lines (their big profit center) to cellular carriers. So by bundling DSL (at artificially low prices) with a bunch of over-priced add-on telephone services, they appear to be less expensive than FBS.NET. But be sure you really need unlimited long distance, call waiting, call forwarding, three way calling, return calling, voice mail and whatever else they come up with to keep the price of DSL low. Otherwise, you could end up paying a lot more than you bargained for. While on the subject of price, you should also know that FBS.NET, as a pure ISP, is not required to charge any taxes on our Internet services. The phone companies will add several taxes and fees to that great sounding prince. And of course, there is our service. FBS.NET is a small company and we are able to provide personalized service you just can't get from the phone company. Like all our services, our DSL Internet access is sold with no contract. You can cancel any time if we don't meet your expectations. Embarq and AT&T both require a long term contract to get their best pricing.
FBS.NET offers several speeds of DSL in both AT&T and Embarq territories. Currently, we are able to provision DSL in most parts of Seminole, Orange, Oceola, Brevard, Volusia, Lake and Marion Counties. Please note, DSL is not available everywhere. Residential DSL Services
Residential DSL service is for home use only. Service includes professional installation, telephone filters and 2 email accounts. Additional email accounts are $3.00 per month each. Static IP addresses are NOT available with residential DSL service. We offer significant discounts for residential users who wish to pay quarterly or yearly.

Business DSL services can be used with a single computer or with multiple PCs on a LAN. Service includes professional installation, POTS splitter and up to 10 email accounts and/or users. Additional email accounts and/or users are $3.00 per month each. Business accounts include a single static IP address. Additional IP addresses are available at additional cost.
